MEST has for several decades been responsible for tug services and pilotage in the Faroe Islands. 

"Samson" has 39 Ton Bollard pull and "Pressarin" has 12 Ton Bollard pull. These boats are mostly used for:

• Tug service
• Pilot boats
• Rescue
